Director and main architect of the belgian architecture workshop Gejianzhu Architects and Engineers. The design work of the Gejianzhu workshop includes urban planning and city design, architecture, landscape infrastructures, bridges and special structures design, and sustainability consulting.

The main achievements of the architecture firm are the
planning and landscape design in Pingyao (UNESCO heritage) and Taigu, Sidel-Tetrapac and Pepsi offices lowenergy need architecture design, Beijing National Theatre underwater structure design (with P. Andreu architect, ADPI and B. Viry), bioclimatic façade of the Beijing French Embassy (with A. Sarfati and B. Viry), and Changanjie New Bridge (650 m).

Nicolas Godelet (Gejian) graduated from the Polytechnic University of Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium (UCL), studied wood structure in Leuven University (KUL), and took classes in Asian culture and Chinese language in Belgium and China.He worked as an architect in Belgium and France, and pursued work on sustainabilityand architecture in the research center Architecture et Climat in Louvain-la-Neuve. In 2002, Nicolas Godelet went to China to conduct some important projects and opened his own office in Beijing
